NDLEA Boss Fires Back at Senator Ashiru’s Corruption Allegations

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has countered Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru’s (APC Kwara South) recent corruption allegations, citing vendetta as the senator’s motive. Chairman Buba Marwa revealed at a media briefing that the senator’s house in Ilorin, Kwara State, was raided, uncovering a consignment of drugs.

Marwa, represented by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy, disclosed that three of Ashiru’s aides were arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced – one of whom was jailed. This development comes amidst concerns about corruption hindering Nigeria’s fight against drugs.
