NEDC Donates Relief Materials To Victims Of Adamawa Attack

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated relief materials to victims of Dabna attack in Dugwaba District of Hong local government council of Adamawa State

At least 19 people have been reported dead and many houses and animals burnt following the attack.

Speaking while handing over the the items to the victims, Mohamed Alkali, Managing Director of the commission, listed food items to include rice (25kg) 2, 000 bags, vegetable oil 1000 gallons, tamato 500 cartons, and Salt 5000 bags.

Also nonfood items, including Nylon mats 1000 pieces, mosquito nets 1000, blankets 1000, wax wrapper 1000, and children wears 1000 were given to cushion the negative effect of the attack on the people of Dabna.

Alkali described the attack as barbaric at a time when the federal government is intensifying effort to tackle insecurity in the region.

He called for calm, adding, “The attack on Dabna community is something that no one should wish a fellow human being, but we must all be calm.”

Adabala Kumba, a survivor of the attack who benefited from the NEDC gesture, thanked governemnt for prompt intervention.
