New Leadership Takes Helm at Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Adamawa State Chapter

‎In a solemn and inspiring ceremony held at the Upper Room Cathedral, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Adamawa State Chapter, officially inaugurated its new State Executive Council, marking a significant transition in leadership for the influential Christian body.

‎The event, which featured the handing over from the outgoing administration, was graced by high-ranking dignitaries including the National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (North-East), Bishop Peter Makanto, who delivered a powerful exhortation.

‎Bishop Makanto charged the new officials and pastors in attendance to embrace a transformative mindset, urging them to change their attitudes and ways as the sure path to divine blessing.

‎He emphasized the importance of becoming givers and caregivers, calling for a renewed commitment to service, integrity, and selfless leadership within the fellowship.

‎Pastor Linus Usiju Medugu, PhD, was officially installed as the new Chairman of the PFN Adamawa State Chapter. In his acceptance speech, Pastor Medugu expressed deep humility and a profound sense of responsibility.

‎He thanked the State Advisory Council under the leadership of the outgoing Chairman, Archbishop Japhet Tonmwaso, for the trust reposed in him and commended the past leadership for laying a strong foundation for the fellowship.

‎Reading from the prepared address, the new Chairman outlined his vision for the chapter, stating that his immediate goals shall be to expand the membership base, set up a robust administrative structure, secure a befitting secretariat that would serve as the operational base, and employ an administrative secretary.

‎He further announced plans to introduce sweeping reforms aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, and to operate an open and transparent accounting system where every duly registered financial member can demand accountability as a matter of right.

‎Pastor Medugu also pledged to collaborate with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other sister blocs to ensure the Church remains a beacon of hope in Adamawa State. He extended loyalty and regards to the National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, and the entire National Executive Council (NEC).

‎The new executive council comprises seasoned clergy committed to advancing the PFN’s mission, including Deputy Chairman Pastor Stephen Khobe, Secretary Rev. Zephaniah Raymond, Assistant Secretary Pastor Jerry Okoye, PRO 1 Pastor Livingstone Joshua, PRO 2 Pastor Hankuri, Treasurer Pastor Julius Fwah, Financial Secretary Pastor Benson Demsa, Auditor Pastor George Oaya, and Legal Adviser Pastor Jonathan Ubanus.

‎The ceremony was attended by members of the State Advisory Council, past and present state executives, local government chapter chairmen, general overseers, senior pastors of denominations, leaders of CAN, senior citizens, special dignitaries, and gentlemen of the press.

‎In his closing remarks, Pastor Medugu solicited the support of all stakeholders to realize the noble objectives set before the new leadership, describing the day as memorable and expressing gratitude to everyone who made the inauguration a success.

‎The inauguration signals a new era for the PFN in Adamawa State, with expectations of renewed vigor, transparency, and impactful Christian witness in the region.
