The newly elected leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council, has extended heartfelt appreciation to members for their overwhelming support during the recent election, which ushered in a new era for the union.

In a statement signed by Chairman Abdullahi Ibrahim and Secretary Kissinger Bukar, the council expressed deep honor at the mandate to lead the state’s journalism profession.
“We are profoundly grateful for the trust and confidence reposed in us,” the statement read, commending members’ active participation as a reflection of the union’s unity and progressive spirit.
The leadership lauded the Credentials Committee for conducting a transparent election and praised the outgoing executives for their dedication. Fellow contestants were also recognized for their sportsmanship and commitment to NUJ ideals.

Pledging a transformative tenure, the new leadership outlined priorities including press freedom, capacity building, member welfare, and fostering unity.
