Dr. Mainasara Kogo, the newly appointed Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), has vowed to promote accountability and efficiency in the agency’s operations.
In his inaugural address during an interactive meeting with CCT management and staff in Abuja, Dr. Kogo emphasized the importance of adhering to asset declaration requirements and shunning corruption, which he described as a major obstacle to Nigeria’s development.
Dr. Kogo, who was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledged to fully discharge his constitutional mandate and prioritize efficiency in the Tribunal’s operations. He cited Section 15(5) of the 1999 Constitution, which emphasizes the state’s obligation to combat corruption and abuse of office.
The CCT Chairman also solicited the cooperation of legal practitioners to strengthen the Tribunal’s impact and revealed plans to upgrade its infrastructure, including the establishment of zonal offices.

Dr. Kogo expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for entrusting him with this significant responsibility and assured him of his commitment to supporting the administration’s agenda through the effective functioning of the Tribunal.
