The monarch who condemned the recent attack on Negga village in Adamawa state, where seven persons were killed; decried how political elites were using violent criminals against the Nigerian state.

He said, “the problem of insecurity is caused by the political class, otherwise how could mere bandits have access to sophisticated arms?

“They know what benefits they’re deriving from the activities of the bandits.

“When it comes crisis involving farmers/herders, I can tell that the same politicians are to blame.

“Reason being that quite a lot of the cattle you see most herdsmen grazing around belong the politicians’, said.

On how to tackle the crisis, Ukor advocated a role by the traditional institution.
