Nig ICD to facilitate exportation of agric products to Bulgaria

The Berlin based Institute for Cultural Diplomacy is to facilitate the exportation of agricultural produce from Nigeria to Bulgaria.

Mr. Dickson Omoregie, Country Representative of the institute said that the Nigerian Farmers Association has engaged the Institute for the marketing and diplomatic link between Nigeria and Bulgaria.

Modalities have been completed for the Institute to hold talks with Bulgarian government in Bulgaria between June 26 and 30.

The discussion would centre more on agricultural export like cocoa, palm oil and other crops of their interest while access to improved variety crops will also be on focus.

Apart from export discussion, the ICD would visit schools in Bulgaria to access their standards as the institute has already proposed scholarship for Nigeria youths who would be considered to study in Bulgaria.

The program is to assist and encourage the Nigerian youths opportunities in the area of Agriculture and those who have been in agric business yet have no organized outlets to market their products.

All these Omoregie said are ideas of promoting cultural diplomacy as education and agriculture are some of the priority areas that could impact positively on the well-being of the Nigerian youth.

He concluded that the objective is to engage more youths meaningfully in productive activities in realizing thesustainable development goal SDG in 2030.
