Despite what many are saying about the present situation of Nigeria to be sitting on a time bomb and is in a boiling point over insecurity bugging up the nation, a Northern Bishop who founded Upper room Churches worldwide, Pastor Peter Makanto said God is interested in Nigeria and His mind toward the country is one indivisible nation which should never break up under whichever guise.

Peter who is the Presiding Bishop of the Yola Cathedral of the Ministry in an interview with our correspondent said that Nigeria will progress better, and become one of the largest entity in the world if everyone comes together with good advice to proffer a solution over the plagues of insecurity disturbing many parts of the country.

The North East National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) said world over many countries are experiencing what Nigeria is going through and he wants patriotic Nigerians to approach the situation as a collective thing of a challenge to all and sundry.

He said approaching it that way is to allow everyone to bring their contributions to the table to face what is bedeviling Nigerians as a nation for a solution.

Makanto called on the leadership of the country and major stakeholders in the area of security to factor out where the problems are coming from for a root course solution.

“We must work together to preserve the unity of the nation, and work for the unity of the country. I want to see a situation where all relevant stakeholders come together, talk together as citizens of the country and look for ways to bring about a solution.

” The mind of God is Nigeria should be one, that Nigeria should progress and be able to be a leader in the continent of Africa and the World, Nigeria should not break up because I don’t see the sense in it. ” Maranto said

According to him the population of the country and its big nature in terms of landmass cannot be compared with the United States of America and India, but the duo countries are doing well more than Nigeria by all standards because they have a system working good for everyone.

He believes that if Nigerians are more passionate about the unity of the country, taking the issues of the country as personal interest we will make the nation great like USA and other first-world nations.

He dispelled the belief and the notion of how people are seeing religion as the preferred way of identity and is taking the center stage in the administration of the country. He said the country should be the first agenda of everyone before any other issue.

He also called on the leadership of the nation to be responsible, responsive by being part of resolving all issues amicable.

According to him many people are always on their knees praying and fasting for the country for God in his infinite Mercies to heal the nation.

“My understanding of a nation is not religions first but the country first before religion.

“Many times the country has experienced turbulence situations as if it will break up but God is always there on time to rescue us because of the prayers of the Saints.” He added

He lamented that those calling for the division of the country, or wanting the of their own should look inward by working hard to find the lasting solutions to what is causing fracas.

He considered separatists to be Nigerians who might be having genuine intensions in connection to exclusion and denying them many national opportunities.

Makanto advised them to tow the paths of one Nigeria because that is what holds the mind of God and the country will blossom.

While praying for Nigeria, Makanto said Nigeria will regain its status and begin to take the lead in the place of leadership and even inspire the first world because of the ingenuity they see in the country.
