Nigeria Volleyball Federation Lauds Leaders, Fans in Heartfelt Appreciation for AWVCC

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), under the leadership of President Musa Nimrod, has expressed profound gratitude to a host of dignitaries, organizations, and fans for their unwavering support during the recently concluded African Women Volleyball Club Championship, hosted by the Nigeria Customs Service in Abuja.

The event, a showcase of talent and unity, has been hailed as a milestone for volleyball in Nigeria and across the continent.

In a detailed appreciation message, Nimrod extended special thanks to the Grand Patron of the Championships, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, for her exemplary leadership and commitment to empowering women and girls in sports. “Her presence was an inspiration to all participants,” Nimrod noted, emphasizing her role in advancing the championship’s impact.

The NVBF also commended the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adeniyi, for hosting the event and providing a platform that fostered sports and youth development. “His support is a legacy we will always be proud of,” Nimrod stated.

Additionally, the federation appreciated the President of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), Madam Bouchra Hajij, for her leadership in ensuring the championship’s success.

Further recognition was given to the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr. Habu Gumel, and other federation presidents for their solidarity.

The NVBF also acknowledged the contributions of Zone 3 CAVB President and the organizing committee, crediting their efforts for the event’s smooth execution.

 

The National Sports Commission, led by Chairman Alhaji Shehu Dikko and Director General Mr. Dipola Olapade, was praised for its technical expertise and support.

The championship not only showcased top-tier talent but also reinforced Nigeria’s growing prominence in African volleyball, thanks to the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved.
