In a significant move to ensure the success of the upcoming 2025 African Women’s Club Championship, Engineer Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, paid a working visit to the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) headquarters on Monday.
Nimrod, who also serves as the President of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission, met with CAVB President Mrs. Bouchra Hajij and the CAVB technical department to finalize preparations for the championship.

The 2025 African Women’s Club Championship is scheduled to take place from April 1st to 14th, 2025, and will be hosted by the Nigeria Customs Services Club. Nimrod expressed his confidence in the country’s ability to host a successful tournament, citing the support of the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, and the National Sports Commission. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the CAVB technical department and the Nigerian authorities to ensure the success of the event.
Nimrod’s visit to the CAVB headquarters is a testament to his commitment to promoting volleyball in Nigeria and across the African continent. As the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation and the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission, he has been instrumental in developing the sport and providing opportunities for young players to excel.
