The Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is said to have turned to a preacher of unity in the custody of the Department of State Service.

This was revealed by his legal counsel Aloy Ejimakor, who visited him.

Ejimakor, who spoke on his Twitter handle weekend, said that Kanu has been preaching unity and tolerance in the DSS custody.

The lawyer said his meeting with Kanu lasted for about four hours.

“Today, I met with Onyendu at the DSS. We spent nearly four hours. My interaction with him was fulfilling.

“He’s cheery and looks forward to overcoming this predicament sooner than later. Again, he stressed UNITY and tolerance on all sides. He has you all in his thoughts,” he tweeted.

Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country.

He was recently arrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria.
