NNPP Holds State Congress, Elects 30-Man Executive Committee for 4-Year Tenure in Adamawa

The New Nigeria People’s Party,( NNPP) Adamawa state chapter has elected a new 30-man state executive officials for a four year tenure of office. During the party’s state Congress held in Yola Thursday ,the electoral committee led by Mr. Zakka R. Christopher as chairman and Sadiq A. Usman as Secretary conducted the election in a hitch free and peaceful manner to the admiration of all in attendance.

Christopher announced the names of the executive members of the party with their offices sequentially and were elected unanimously by the screened delegates through a voice vote. Christopher mentioned that, most of the officials were elected unopposed through consensus with Mr.Bundi Ahmadu Pious as the state chairman, Alhaji Umaru Jambuba as state Deputy Chairman, Mr.Pwaveino T. Calvin as state Secretary of the party.

Others elected were ; Aminu Bala Tafida as Deputy state secretary,Zainab Musa Garba, Innocent Dauda, Nasiru Zubairu, Barrister Murtala Gambo and John Matekai (J-real) were returned as woman leader, State Organizing Secretary, State Treasurer, legal adviser and Publicity Secretary respectively.

Barrister Sani l. Bello administered oaths of office and allegiance to the newly elected officials in the presence of delegates and other party members across the 21 local government areas in the state.

Delivering his acceptance speech, the new chairman of the party, Bundi Ahmadu Pious expressed gratitude to the delegates for founding them worthy of the task of leadership ahead of them. Pious who looked elated applauded the sacrifices of the party members pledging to carry all along in handling the affairs of the party.

The party has fulfill all constitutional requirements by forming the party’s structures right from wards, local and state noting that the party will soon hit the ground running

Pious urge all and sundry to support and corporate with the new leadership with a view to unraveling workable strategies for the party to wax stronger in the state. Chairman Pious charged the party members and stakeholders to work assiduously for the success of the party in subsequent elections in the state and national level.
