The Adamawa state government expressed sadness on some misguided information going viral that it imposed a curfew across the state to curb the spread of covid-19 starting From Tomorrow 28th of March 2020.

The government described the information going viral on the social media platforms as baseless, untrue and mischievous and called on people to disregard it in totality.

Government calls on all citizens to await for authentic information from government genuine sources regarding the novel COVID-19 pandemic as it has already set up a technical committee in that regard.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has warned that he will not take lightly with mischievous makers armed at tarnishing the image of his Government.

Fintiri who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary,Mr Humwashi Wonosikou called on the general public to disregard rumours fabricated by the enemies of the Government.

Fintiri further warned that the government will not hesitate by using the instrumentally of the law to deal with any mischievous makers behind the panic.

“Please! despite not having the pandemic in the state people should observe social distancing and basic hygiene of hand-washing and avoid crowded places.” The statement read
