In a press release issued today, the duly elected executives of the Youth Wing, under the stewardship of their revered leader, Rev Yakubu Pam, reaffirmed his position as the authentic and constitutionally recognized head of Northern CAN.

The statement, signed by Chairman Evang. Musa D. Misal and Assistant Secretary Emmanuel Abbah, comes amidst growing speculation and alleged attempts by unnamed individuals to undermine the established leadership structure. “We address you today with a great sense of responsibility to clear the air on some misconceptions and misinformation going round in recent times, particularly as it affects Northern CAN,” the release began, signaling a firm intent to set the record straight.

They warned that “anybody, no matter how highly placed,” lacks the authority to impose themselves through “crooked means whatsoever

The Youth Wing made it unequivocally clear that Rev Yakubu Pam remains their “Father” and the legitimate leader of Northern Christians, dismissing any claims to the contrary as baseless. “Contrary to rumours going round, no election has been called yet—either of the Mother body, Women, or Youth Wing,” the statement emphasized. They warned that “anybody, no matter how highly placed,” lacks the authority to impose themselves through “crooked means whatsoever.”

In a show of readiness and organizational strength, the Youth Wing declared their preparedness to conduct elections at a moment’s notice should their “respected parents” call for it. “We are ready to conduct our election even if it is called today,” they asserted, underscoring their confidence in their democratic processes and unity.

The press release also served as a rallying cry to the broader membership. The executives urged all youths, particularly those in zonal and state chapters, as well as stakeholders, to ignore any directives from “imposters” or unauthorized quarters. “Such individuals lack any locus standi and authority to call for any meeting and or election,” the statement cautioned, reinforcing their loyalty to Rev Yakubu Pam’s leadership.

The Youth Wing concluded with a message of gratitude and steadfastness: “We remain loyal to the Leadership led by our Father, Rev Yakubu Pam. Thank you for listening.”

The statement was formally signed by Evang. Musa D. Misal (Chairman, contact: 08039592921) and Emmanuel Abbah (Assistant Secretary, contact: 07030693433), providing a direct line for further clarification.

We remain loyal to the Leadership led by our Father, Rev Yakubu Pam

This development is likely to intensify discussions within Northern CAN and its affiliates, as the Youth Wing’s resolute defense of Rev Yakubu Pam’s leadership draws a firm line against any perceived threats to the organization’s stability. For now, the ball appears to be in the court of those challenging the status quo—though the Youth Wing has made it clear they will not yield to pressure.
