The Northern Governor’s Wives Forum (NGWF), at its last meeting on June 14, 2023, announced the appointment of members into the Executive Committee to steer the affairs of the forum for the next two years, where our very own Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri emerged as the New Secretary of the Forum.
We are delighted to express our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Adamawa State and Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on her victory as the New Secretary of the Forum.
This significant achievement is a testament to Uwar Marayu’s exceptional leadership qualities and persistent commitment to the advancement and betterment of Adamawa State and the Northern Region.
Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri’s appointment comes as no surprise, given her excellent track record of service and dedication to the people of Adamawa and beyond. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a deep passion for empowering and strengthening communities and bringing positive change in the lives of many people.
As the New Secretary of the Northern Governor’s Wives Forum, Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri will undoubtedly bring her remarkable skills, exceptional abilities, innovative and visionary leadership to steer the affairs of the Forum for the next two years.
Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support and belief in her, stating that their faith, trust and confidence led to her election as the Secretary of the Northern Governor’s Wives Forum, and she is truly humbled by this honour.
She said, “I want to acknowledge your role in recognizing my potential and recommending me for this pretigious position. The election of the executive members was conducted during the meeting that was presided over by the First Lady of Kwara State and Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors Wives Forum, Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Olufolake Abdulrazaq, who also served as the vice chairperson of the Forum in the previous Executive Council.
In the interest of New Members, Ambassador Abdulrazaq gave update on the activities and workings of the Nigeria Governor’s Wives Forum.
While addressing the meeting, the former Chairperson of the Northern Governors Wives Forum, Her Excellency Arch. Hadiza El Rufai, first lady of Kaduna State, enjoined members on unity and cohesion to move the forum forward, gave words of encouragement, and wished the Forum well.
The outgoing treasurer of the forum, the First Lady of Gombe State, Her Excellency Asma’u Yahaya, presented the financial report at the meeting.
