A group, Northern Unity Forum (NUF) blasted one Sheik Salisu Alkali Zaria who claimed to be an Islamic scholar for brewing hatred and inciting the people of Nigeria with his unsound teachings.
The group whose vision and mission is to support good governance and propagate the gospel of Peace and unity has warned Sheik Salisu to stop cooking lies against the people of Zamfara, especially Governor Dauda Lawan.
NUF in a Statement signed by Comrade Khalid Abubakar lampooned Sheik Salisu as one of the corrupt Nigeria who is using Religion to survive on.
The statement revealed that Salisu claimed is a Magistrate Judge (Civil Servant) and has been moving about collecting contracts from government officials an act that has discredited him from being a sound preacher of Islam, a religion of unity and peace.
According to the statement, he preaches hatred and using attacking words on personalities in exchange of contracts as kick backs to have him muted
NUF is calling on Nigerians especially the Muslim ummah to disregard and treat with disdain any message, sermon, fatwahs, Duas (Prayers) and utterances coming from him as it is tantamount to causing disunity among Nigerians.
They warned him also to stop concocting lies against the personal of His Excellency, Executive Governor of Zamfara Sate, Dr. Dauda Lawan, Ph.D. with his unlettered behavior.
They said Sheik Salisu is functionally illiterate with a fundamental corrupt attitude of using religion to swindle influential individuals and misled the general public.
The statement further said that the much interference in the affairs of the Zamfara State Government under the able leadership of Dr Dauda Lawan as a none indigene with baseless facts does not portray him a sound scholar of Islam.
Khalid who is the NUF Leader further told this medium through a telephone conversation that the People of Zamfara are very pleased with the leadership of Dauda who is working hard to make sure peace returning in the state.
He said the activities of bandits, kidnappers, insurgents and all form of insurgency has grounded development in the state but with the coming of Dauda things are now taking shape, peace is gradually returning, economic activities are picking up fast and they are experiencing stability and normalcy.
Khalid reiterated that the Governor can go to anywhere looking for what will benefit the people of Zamfara as the constitution provided, Salisu a none indigene can not detect what the people of Zamfara want.
Khalid said the swindle attitudes of Sheik Salisu to former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle of collecting multi million contracts is in the public court of law of unbecoming of a civil servant and an Islamic scholar.
“It is a call to all Nigerians that functional illiterates like Sheik Salisu Alkali Zaria should not be allowed working the streets of Nigeria freely with his inciting and inflammatory utterances that is capable of causing disunity in the country.
“He is an enemy of Nigeria, an enemy of Zamfara state and enemy of Muslim ummah. His lies and fake teachings will consume us all if the government leave him move freely.
“We had more than enough of societal ills caused by all forms of insecurity, an illiterate like Salisu should not be regarded as a opinion moulder or a sound Islamic scholar that people should take his words serious. ” Khalid said
