The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), a group of Northern Nigerian leaders, has acknowledged that everyone is culpable in the escalating crises affecting Nigeria, particularly Northern Nigeria. Alhaji Bashir Mohammed, Chairman of the Forum’s Board of Trustees, made this statement in Kaduna during a special meeting.

“This meeting is not about politics or partisanship. It’s a gathering of concerned Northerners to address the grave crises plaguing our region. We’re not here to apportion blame or point fingers. The truth is, we’re all culpable. We owe our people an apology for our collective failure to protect the region from its worst crisis in history.”

The chairman emphasized that the meeting aimed to revitalize and re-strategize the ACF to play its intended role. He outlined two objectives:

1. Revitalize the ACF to enable it to address the region’s challenges effectively.
2. Develop a roadmap to help the region and country mitigate the current existential challenges.
