NSCDC Parades suspect for Siphoning Insulating Oil, vandalizing transformer in Adamawa

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Adamawa State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Ibrahim Mainasara, has paraded one Auwal Sale, a 24-year-old male, indigene of Gombi LGA and resident of Sangere FUTY, Girei LGA, for his involvement in the vandalization of a public transformer and siphoning of insulating oil.

The suspect was apprehended by our special anti-vandal squad during a surveillance operation targeting critical national assets and infrastructure, which is a core mandate of our organization. At the time of arrest, the suspect was found in possession of 10 jerrycans of 25 liters, with four already filled with insulation oil, commonly known as transformer oil. Investigations have revealed that the principal suspect, known as Daddy, managed to escape and is currently at large. Further inquiries have indicated that an individual referred to as Alhaji, a resident of Song LGA, is involved in purchasing the stolen product. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects and bring them to justice.

A statement by the command’s public relations officer, DSC Nyako Amidu Baba appealed to the general public to support their efforts by providing valuable information that will aid in the fight against the vandalization of public infrastructure in the state and the country at large.

According to Nyako that the NSCDC remains committed to protecting and preserving Nigeria’s critical assets and infrastructure.
