The National University Commission, has approved accreditation of 45 courses as part of academic program for commencement conventional
Modibbo Adama University (M.A.U)
The University had applied 58 courses for accreditation with the National University Commission.
Prof, Inuwa Ja’afaru, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration made the disclosure in Yola Saturday, at an event organized to mark third year anniversary of stewardship of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur.
Ja’afaru pointed out that, academic programmes and curricula has been reviewed, after the university gained approval for the establishment of a Medical College to run medical science and allied courses from NUC, prior to actualizing the conversion to a conventional University.
The institution demoted three Professors, for misconduct as measure to instill academic integrity and discipline.

Meanwhile, Federal Medical Centre, FMC Yola have received medical facilities such as the GE Revolution Evo 128 Slice CT Scanner an intervention of the Petroleum Equalization Fund, PEF, and through Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative, PCNI for take-off of teaching hospital.
Earlier, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has unveiled a book titled “Contemporary Perspective on Environmental Issues”, A Festschrift, in honor of Prof Abdullahi Liman Tukur, Vice Chancellor.
