The National Security Adviser, (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of two All Progressives Congress (APC) party leaders in the state.

The deceased party chairmen are the party chairman of Lamurde local government, Mal. Ibrahim Muhammad Zuru and the Chairman of the party in Mubi North local government Usman Sarkin Mudu.

The two chairmen of the party reportedly died on 30th March, 2024 and 9th April, 2024 respectively.

Expressing his heartfelt commiseration to Adamawa the chairman of the party, Barr. Idris Shuaibu and the entire APC family, Ribadu said the death of the two dedicated party members has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill considering their commitment, sacrifices and loyalty to the party.

He noted that the two party leaders are tested and trusted leaders whose indefatigable contributions to the growth and sustenance of the party can not be overemphasized.

Ribadu poingnantly recollected the sturdy leadership qualities and trust Mal. Ibrahim Muhammad Zuru earned from his constituents which enabled him as a Muslim to lead the party in a Christian stronghold noting that such rare feat can only be earned by trust and goodwill.

He noted that late Usman Sarkin Mudu has equally displayed great leadership feats making him to lead APC in Mubi North for over a decade.

“The two party leaders have earned from their people unimpeachable trust, and goodwill making Ibrahim Muhammad Zuru, a Muslim to lead in a Christian dominated area while Usman Sarkin Mudu, a man I respect deeply for his wisdom and foresight was able to lead the party in Mubi North for over a decade.

“We will sorely miss these truly grounded and patriotic leaders in no small measure especially considering their contributions towards peace, development and overall success of our party.

“Despite our travails, we are gladdened that these two rare patriots lived exemplary life styles worthy of emulation.

“I wish to use this opportunity to condole with the APC family in Adamawa and the immediate family members of the deceased leaders praying Allah to grant them eternal rest,” Ribadu said.
