The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa State Council has congratulated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the government, and the Muslim community in Adamawa State and beyond on the occasion of the 2024 EID-ul-Maulud celebration.
In a statement signed by Chairman Ishaka Donald Dedan and Secretary Fidelis Jockthan, the union commended its members and the entire Muslim ummah on the special day, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The NUJ urged all people to reflect on the Prophet’s life and embody his virtues of compassion, love, and understanding. The union also called for sustained prayers for the flourishing dividends of democracy in Adamawa State under Governor Fintiri’s leadership and for the economic stability of the nation.
NUJ emphasized the importance of public interest in media reportage and advocated for harmonious coexistence and welfare for public servants in both the government and private sectors
