NURTW pledges an unalloyed support for Gov Bindo,,,DG campaign assures them of inclusion in govt

The Adamawa state chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has pledged an unalloyed support for Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo of the State in the coming 2019 elections.

State Chairman of the Union,Alhaji Bello Adamu while delivering a speech during a programme organised by Adamawa state primary health care agency in collaboration with the union said the administration of Bindo brought about massive infrastructure development.

The agency in collaboration with NURTW supported by EU-UNICEF host volunteers drivers on emergency transport scheme,strengthening health care community resilience for improve maternal new-born,child health and Nutrition out comes in the State.

Bello stressed that they are aware of the rapid development of Adamawa state by Gov Jibrilla through massive rural and Urban road networks,thanking him for the good work and called for more sustainable people’s oriented policies.

In his speech he revealed that the union is already a partner in progress: “we therefore register our total support and loyalty at all times to the Bindo administration.”

While appreciating the leadership style of Bindo, he mentioned some of the corporate responsibility of the union by helping the Pregnant women in remote in transporting free of charge to health facilities for safe delivery in all the 21 LGA.

“With the coming of UNICEF we retrained 840 volunteers drivers and 42 focal persons as supervisors,collecting monthly data from their respective local government for onwards submission to the state council and programme officer of the UNICEF.

“As part of our social responsibility this Union is in partnership with UNICEF to continue the activities of emergency transport scheme by lifting pregnant women from remote areas to health facilities centres in the 21 LGA.” He Said

The Director General of Bindo campaign organization,Chief Felix Tangwami who represented the Executive governor of the State appreciate the contributions of NURTW of saving life of people through their career.

He promised them of carrying them along if God will Bindo’s a continuity in 2019 as they are a part to reckon with in both the economy and political life of the state.

The representative of the Sector commandant of FRSC in Adamawa,Idris Ali Fika,in his Good will message encourage the Union to keep on doing the good work of safety driving they are known for.

He advised them to keep the laws guiding the use of Nigerian roads that will help them avert and avoid accident.
