A National Youth Service Corps NYSC member, Muhammad Ghali Abdulmumin serving with Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation, ABC Yola was on Saturday attacked by some criminals who attempted to assassinate him.
It was learnt that the youth corps member was on his way to Primary Place of Assignment, PPA, when a thief was chased in Wuro-Hausa ward of Yola town, and was amazed with the atmosphere, he decided to enquire then a friend to the thief remove a sharp knife stabbed him three times on his thigh, and left leg.
After inflicting an injuries on him, the culprit took to his heels back to his father’s house located nearby, and when some good Samaritan attempted to arrest him his father asked them to let him go.
However, they reported the matter to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Yola who now arrested the father in place of his son who has gone into hidden.
The youth Corps member is currently taking medication and recuperating to getting well.
