NYSC Corps Members Yet to Receive N77,000 Allowance, Despite Federal Government’s Approval

Contrary to claims that NYSC corps members are happily enjoying their second payment of N77,000 new allowance, reports indicate that the payment is yet to be implemented. The Federal Government had approved the increase in allowance for corps members from N33,000 to N77,000, but the payment is still pending.

The Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, had stated that the implementation of the new allowance was in process, and that corps members would begin to receive the payments “very soon”. However, it appears that the payment is yet to be made.
