Obasanjo, Atiku, Obi, Other Heavyweight Converge at Transcorp Hilton for Tambuwal’s 60th Birthday Colloquium

Nigeria’s political landscape witnessed a rare display of cross-party unity and statesmanship today as prominent national figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, stormed the New Event Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to celebrate the 60th birthday of Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the Mutawallen Sokoto.

The high-profile event, themed “Leadership, Service and Statesmanship at 60”, doubled as a colloquium honoring Tambuwal’s decades of public service.

Born on January 10, 1966, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives (2011–2015) and two-term Governor of Sokoto State (2015–2023) is currently serving as Senator representing Sokoto South.

The gathering drew an impressive array of dignitaries, reflecting Tambuwal’s wide respect across political divides. Attendees included former Governors Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El-Rufai, as well as other notable leaders.
