Omniversity Imperial College Missouri USA and Lagos Nigeria has warmly celebrated Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished hospitality administrator, tourism strategist, entrepreneur, and visionary institutional leader.

In a special tribute signed by Professor Tokunbo Akeredolu-Ale, PhD, President of the Board of Trustees and Governing Council, the institution honoured Dr. Thomas for his outstanding contributions to the tourism and hospitality sector in Nigeria and beyond.
The tribute reads in part: “This special occasion provides an important opportunity to honour a distinguished hospitality administrator, tourism strategist, entrepreneur, institutional leader, and professional whose contributions continue to positively impact the tourism and hospitality sector within Nigeria and beyond.”
Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas has built a reputation for visionary leadership and strategic excellence. As Lead Consultant at Terra Firma Consultancy and Services Ltd, he has driven hospitality innovation, customer service excellence, and enterprise growth, while advancing the role of tourism in economic expansion, job creation, and sustainable development.
His service as Kaduna State Coordinator of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) has strengthened policy advocacy, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable tourism initiatives across the country.
He also holds prominent international positions, including Vice President North West of the Chartered Institute of Hospitality, Culture and Tourism LLC Missouri USA, and Council Member and Deputy Vice President North West of the Chartered Institute of Hospitality, Tourism and Management of America.
A recipient of multiple prestigious fellowships and awards — including FCIHTMA, FCAI, FIMC, DFCILMMD, and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) — Dr. Thomas is recognised for his deep professional expertise and practical contributions to hospitality and tourism management education.
The institution noted that beyond his many titles, Dr. Thomas remains a passionate advocate for sustainable tourism, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and national development, serving as an inspiration to younger professionals in the industry.
Professor Akeredolu-Ale concluded the tribute with prayers for Dr. Thomas’s continued good health, wisdom, expanded influence, and many more years of impactful service to the hospitality industry and the nation.
