The Payment of Adamawa state civil servant’s leave grand has been described by the Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Alhaji Ahmed Lawan that Governor Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri has robbed Paul and pay Peter.
Lawan revealed that the PDP government led administration under Fintiri stop the salaries of some civil servants for four months under the guise of verification to authenticate their genuineness as workers in the state
According to Lawan is their money he used in settling the leave grand of the civil servants in the state,which is better say he has done less than the expectation of Adamawa civil servants.
Lawan said he did not see anything good about the gesture that PDP loyalists are celebrating as it is just a principle of infringing others people’s right and make it a privilege rights to others.
“The leave grand money was meant to pay the four months salaries of workers he stopped, he should have pay those workers before settling the leave grand,in that way we can appraise the government of PDP high of scoring a point.” Lawan said
Solomon Kumangar who is a Director of Media and communication to Governor Ahmadu in a Swift reaction said the Governor is having the political will to do what is needful at the time the civil servants in the state are in dire need considering the sallah festivities by the corner.
According to him the argument put on by Lawan is illogical and it is neither here or there as the workers is talking about are not in the nominal role of the government and their genuineness as workers in the state is being processed.
Solomon further said that the workers employment is under verification and they cannot lay claims to salaries that’s not there’s.
“For the past four years there has not been payment of leave grand, but at least one year leave grand has been paid and the workers in Adamawa state are Happy as the leave grand is paid at the time they need it.” Solomon said
