Today at the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Hon. Nyampa Dauda Zakaria, PhD, Member representing the Madagali–Michika Federal Constituency, took a proactive and responsible step in addressing the recent insurgent attacks that affects the communities of Kirchinga and Shewari in Madagali Local Government area of Adamawa state.

By formally presenting the matter on the floor of the Green Chamber, he called on the Federal Government to take urgent action by deploying additional security personnel to restore safety and stability in the affected communities.
He also urged that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) be mobilized immediately to provide relief and support for the displaced persons who have been forced out of their homes.
This is the primary responsibility of a Member of the Federal House of Representatives, apart from law making and oversight functions , to raise the concerns of their constituents at the national level, push for government action, and ensure that the voices of the people are heard where decisions are made. Representation is not about distributing handouts to a few individuals to make noise on the internet only; it is about speaking boldly for the people, demanding solutions, and ensuring government responds to the needs of the communities.
Today’s action clearly demonstrates that the concerns of the people of Madagali and Michika are being carried to the highest legislative platform in the country. Our voices are heard, and our communities matter.
Leadership is not measured by noise, but by impact, advocacy, and commitment to the welfare and security of the people.
