Contrary to their expectations, SIA’s detractors borne out of envy and fear. opinion, SIA is not the empty vessel that many perceived him to be. Ishaku Abbo, in particular, does not require my sympathy, as individuals of unwavering fortitude rarely solicit or crave pity. Instead, they assert themselves through their exceptional endowments, intellect, unyielding courage, and indomitable spirit.
I have deliberately chosen to remain unmoved by the emotional appeals of the woman in the viral video, and more importantly, I have refrained from watching the sex tape. Why should I?
If it’s for entertainment purposes, there are far more suitable and sane options available to me. If it’s to ascertain the truth, as a devout Muslim, I am well-versed in the Islamic principles of adjudicating cases of adultery, which stipulate that accusations made without concrete evidence warrant severe punishment.
I cannot judge SIA on moral grounds, I must acknowledge his political astuteness, assertiveness, and unwavering determination to stand tall in the face of adversity
Furthermore, my brief foray into politics has taught me that everything is fair game. I recall an incident where an individual sought an audience with our boss, Admiral Nyako, and swore on the Quran that one of the nominees was engaging in homosexual activities. The governor, in accordance with Islamic teachings, opted to verify the allegations. In the absence of concrete evidence, he chose not to take action against the accused.

My acquaintance with SIA dates back to his tenure as an SA to Governor Nyako. Over time, we have shared both convergent and divergent opinions. A close friend once called me to celebrate SIA’s ousting by the court, citing his stance on the Muslim-Muslim ticket as the reason. However, I have never equated the MM ticket with an Islamic ticket; otherwise, I would be busy justifying the current governance disaster.
Interesting times lie ahead in Adamawa, but the “bring-him-down” syndrome that has plagued us with high-profile political figures lacking tangible achievements will persist unless we chart alternative courses towards collective self-determination
