It is actually not difficult to identify a quintessential leader from pull of leaders and as simple as that from many of the people who are in leadership positions.
Literally, quintessential leaders strive for absolute honesty and transparency, even when it is not what people want to hear or it reflects a failure or flaw on their part. It starts at the very top and permeates its way down from the national level, to the state level, and to the local level.
These comments represent the best compliment leaders, or anyone, can get. They demonstrate why people choose to trust them. With trust, they are more motivated to do well on team goals in addition to their own goals.
The best way to earn these compliments is through demonstrating “humanness”, by admitting their mistakes and sharing stories about when you learned life is full of hard lessons. No one is expected to be perfect. In fact, people will feel you are more approachable when you admit to missteps and even laugh when you trip up.
The political atmosphere in Nigeria is today charged as it is at the twilight of the 2023 Presidential elections. Some political actors and gladiators are permuting on which geopolitical zone produces what and who becomes what. Similarly, some patriots and nationalists are busy putting the Nation safe, conducive and suitable to express their franchise. A part of such selfless and the coordinating synergizes is no other person than my Boss and political confident, Barrister Boss Gidahelda Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). His political lifestyle transcends the nocks and crannies of Nigerian political space for over Three (3) decades, built and revolts around credibility, adding good values to lives of the downtrodden and always passionate about a better Nigeria. He is indeed my role model and comfortably fits all hypotheses of a QUINTESSENTIAL LEADER and the CENTENNIAL ROLE MODEL.
I knew my Boss as a political mobilizer and prominent All Progressives Congress top-notch who gave Nigeria a better image as the NIWA DG and SGF. He works exceedingly beyond normal work days and hours, a mechanism which lacked in the deliverables in government bureaucracy in the preceding governance workings. I have no doubt in my mind that Nigeria truly needs such astute, humbled and a brilliant gentleman in another facet of governance beyond President Buhari government.
Others might raise eyebrow and objections to my steadfastness in Boss Mustapha, but patriotic Nigerians and persons of like minds shall at all times rally around to always encourage him to work harder and always put his outmost best for the Nigerian State. His loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari has always been unwavering. Similarly, the All Progressives Congress, APC must be deeply proud, satisfied and is always grateful to Barr. Boss Mustapha for the show of integrity, loyalty, due diligence, integrity and has not in any way disappointed the Party since assuming the Office as SGF in October 2017.
Boss Mustapha is one Leader upcoming Nigerians Leaders should try a much as possible to emulate his virtues and style of leadership. He is indeed hard-working and popularly referred to as the “engine room” of President Buhari’s Government. He coordinates effectively to the extent, Ministries and MDAs have operated rancorous free since he was appointed on the 30 October 2017 to date.
He is neither a religious, sectional of tribal chauvinist. His interpersonal relationships traverse the length and breadth of this country and having been the Deputy National Chairman of the defunct ACN, largest partner in the merger that formed the present APC. It will interest you to know that, when I held swear as the pioneer National Vice Chairman North East of the APC, I made it a duty to periodically consult with him on issues of development and unity in the party. His advises had helped tremendously in the growth of the party and further strengthened the unity of the Party.
Nigerians should equally know that we have a Man of integrity and full of virtues to navigate and understand the political dynamics in Nigeria’s Politics terrestrial. Having been selfless in his services to the Nigerian State, Boss Mustapha is one of the best brains the North and North East in particular, should look up to in the political permutations and choice of Leaders that Nigerians will galvanise ideas for the betterment of the citizenry and Nigerians will go to sleep unperturbed when they are at the helms of affairs. His resourcefulness is second to none in the political landscape of Nigeria. This is one leader that age, weekends and public holidays means nothing to him. He goes to work in the office round the clock and sometimes stays beyond 23.00am to ensure that, programmes and objectives of President Muhammadu Buhari government is realizable.
Considering the justifications and rear qualities of the Leader, I have the honor to present to Nigerians, Barr. Boss Gidahelda Mustapha to deputize for any Presidential Hopeful from the Southern in our Great Party, the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2023 Presidential Election, irrespective of religion and tribe. I am confident, any presidential hopeful who takes Barr. Boss Gidahelda as a Running-Mate, can go to sleep as he is sure of having a functional government that shall deliver.
I am overjoyed that God The Almighty has made me a son of Adamawa State and closely associated with the Leader Barr. Boss Gidahelda Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Indeed, it is a privilege and I urge all sons and daughters of the soil to join hands to support him in prayers to take not only Adamawa State but Nigeria as a whole to greater heights.
Certainly, people must come to terms with the fact that, as a real leader having seen all sides of opinions, including what is far from perfect, which is why we need to look inward and reflect on the reward system of our great party. As we do so, we are indirectly building a strong scaffold of developing leaders for Nation building and Nigeria will be more bonded in unity and togetherness as enshrined in our resolve and party manifestoes. We must promise each other of our progressives dream in the Nigeria State will not be an incongruity, but decree. This shall be the panacea to building a Nation worthy of togetherness to our children and generations yet unborn.
We must equally recognize that the path to progress will always be turbulent and it is uphill. We will have to scrape and crawl up toward that mountaintop to make Nigeria greater again. We now see the reality that we are not supposed to take even the tiniest path of our democracy for granted. Every serious-minded person matters and every single one of us should agree to connect into the visions of President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
Mr. President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, on behalf my family, friends, associates, all those whose confidence I command and all well-meaning Nigerians, I say thank you from the echoing of my heart, for appointing Our Most Amiable and Pragmatic Leader Barr. Boss Gidahelda Mustapha who has demonstrated an uncommon resolve to serve Nigeria and for his unalloyed loyalty to you, Mr. President GCFR.
