The Adamawa Concerned Citizens Foundation Which Believes In The Union Of Our People Through The Maintenance Of Democratic Order Founded On The Rule of law, Affirmed It’s Beliefs In The Freedom Of All Nigerians To Exercise The Rights Guaranteed In Our Constitution, Including Freedom Of Speech and Expression As Uphold by Section 39 (1) of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria Without Harassment Or Intimidation From Any Person Or Authority.
However, we Condemned Strongly the threats and Intimidation On Our Widely Respected Chairman Hon. Hussain Gambo Bello Nakura by H.E Umaru Fintiri. It is Unfortunate That Once Again Gov.fintiri’s Action Clearly Highlighted His Inability To Deal With his Official Temperamental Behaviour, Constructive Criticism and the Freedom Of Expression by the state Citizens In an Apparently Desperate Move to Stifle Public Criticism of His Administration. (an atmosphere of NO criticism). We Want to Use this Medium to draw his attention that “Constructively” Being Publicly Criticised As a Government Is Like Being Hit In A Football.
It’s Not a Flaw In the System; It’s a Feature of the System. And its Apparent That the Incumbent Has Not Been Exposed To Even a Quarter Of The Critical Bullets Directed At the Former Governor. Therefore, Its Quite a Shame That the One Who Beheads Would Not Want The Sword To Be Wielded Anywhere Around Him. As a Government It Would Have Been Naive Not To Expect Criticism.
It is Also Of Paramount Importance That the Administration Should Note; Hon. Hussaini Gambo Bello Nakura Is a Recipient Of Morethan 40 AWARDS Of Excellence as Man of Integrity And Widely Respected Throughout The State As Someone Who Stands For The People’s Fundamental Rights, A Person With a Burning Passion to Help the Less-Privileged, Stimulated by his Love For Humanity And the Desire For The Less-privileged One’s In The Society To Enjoy The Good Things Of Life Like Other Privileged Persons.
To this end, His Burning Desire To Help The Needy And The Physically Challenged in the Society Has Led Him To Be A Recipient Of Multiple AWARDS from His Royal Highness “Lamido Of Fombina”, the Department Of State Security (DSS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF) , Including Numerous Organizations like Media Observers Cooperative Society, National Youth Advocate For Good Governance, Women And Youth for Moral Awareness and So Much More Contrary to What the Current Secretary to the state Government (SSG) Claims Saying “what is So Special About Hussaini Gambo Bello”.
