The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gloating over the opposition’s victory in Ghana’s presidential election, saying it’s a sign that Nigerians will soon kick out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement, the PDP congratulated Ghanaians for defending democracy and choosing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President John Mahama. The party said this victory shows that the power of the people can triumph over “misrule and oppressive policies” – a clear dig at the APC.

The PDP claims that the APC has wrecked Nigeria’s economy, allowed terrorists to kill thousands, and made life unbearable for citizens. They’re hoping that Nigerians will follow Ghana’s lead and vote them out in 2027.
But the PDP isn’t just sitting back and waiting for fate to intervene. They’re calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure that the people’s will is respected in future elections.
