A Nigerian, Prince Taiwo Nodiru, has written a Save-Our-Soul letter to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on the incessant killings of the indigenes of Ijebuland allegedly by Fulani herdsmen.
Nodiru, in his letter made available to FirstNews Online on Monday, appealed to Osinbajo to urgently come to the rescue of his kinsmen back in his home state of Ogun from the marauding herdsmen, whom he accused of being behind the frequent killings and kidnappings in the Ijebu area of Ogun State.
Below is the full details of Nodiru’s S.O.S letter to VP Osinbajo:

Dear Uncle,
It’s my primary responsibility to keep you abreast of the happenings at home while you are in Abuja performing your constitutional duties as the Vice President of Nigeria.
Just last week, one of our sisters in person of Mrs Salami Moronkeji of Ijebu Idofe was attacked and shot by killer herdsmen along Oru Ijebu – Ijebu Idofe road while she was travelling to Ijebu Idofe to inspect her site.
She is presently receiving medical treatment at the Lagos State Hospital, Ikeja, after she was rejected by OOUTH Sagamu due to her critical condition.
The news of this criminal attack came as a shock to all of us, including our traditional rulers across IJEBU/REMO LANDS.
This is not the first time that we have been experiencing killings, maiming, kidnapping, raping and various dangerous attacks on our people across IJEBU REMO LANDS.
We used to hear about the killer herdsmen’s criminal activities in YEWA LAND (with impunity) not knowing that IJEBU- REMO LANDS will also have our own share of their senseless criminalities.
The problems of the killer herdsmen seems to be beyond the capacity of any state governor in Nigeria, hence the need for your prompt attention and fast action as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and as a reputable /bonafide son of IJEBU – REMO LANDS.
Your Excellency Sir, you know that IJEBU PEOPLE are wise, intelligent and brave. We have our own unique styles of defending our fundamental human rights and protecting our lives / properties without making noise or issuing any QUIT NOTICE.
We know how to make our enemies run without physically pursuing them.
Our forefathers left many things for us to defend/ protect ourselves against external aggression.
The lawful / peaceful external settlers who are doing their legitimate business have nothing to fear about anywhere in the nine LGs areas of IJEBU / REMO LANDS but the killer herdsmen / other criminal-minded elements should change their addresses as fast as possible because IJEBU REMO PEOPLE will no longer tolerate any further attacks on our innocent fathers, mothers and children.
We also learnt that men of the Nigeria Police have arrested some of these killer herdsmen. We thank the Police but arrest is not only enough, we want to see JUSTICE being served to serve as deterrent to other criminals in our societies.
