The emirate council of Fombina Adama through its respected monarch the Lamidon Adamawa ,Dr Barkindo Mustapha Aliyu has made another History again by bestowing a traditional tittle to vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osibanjo as the Jagaban Adamawa.
By implication the title “Jagaba” has turned Yemi to be the front runner of the people of Adamawa State who will struggle for anything good for them,a character seen on him long before now to be a Man truly working for the sake of the downtrodden in the county.
The title came at a time it’s most needed considering the backward nature of the state and bearing in mind how the activities of Boko Haram insurgents has rendered the towns and villages of the state into a ruined country home without something good in it.
The real meaning of the title “JAGABA” is revealed to be known as a man with so much courageous fighter spirit,a fearless warrior that can dare anything and a tactical commandant leading thousands of other warriors in a battle with a certainty of conquering other giants.
The title can equally be a defender of a community, State, country and even a watch Man of a particular city. The “JAGABA” symbolises war front and only a Man with a Lion heart can be given that kind of a title.
This is to say Osibanjo is now the leading Man, leading other great people of Adamawa State to fight for the commons, to defence the defenceless, to be a strong voice of the people of Adamawa State and to join in the rebuilding of Adamawa State that was badly ruined down by activities of Boko Haram insurgents.
This title wouldn’t have been possible without the brilliant performances of the state’s Governor, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who has turned Adamawa state upside down for good with massive networks of road infrastructure.
It’s the hardworking performances of Governor Bindow that brought the Vice President to be in Adamawa State for the second time with the sole aim of launching the use of roads networks for the sake of the people of the state.
With the coming of Osibanjo as the Jagaba of the state, there is more to development in any area. The duo now are partners in progress,Osibanjo and Bindow now have vowed to deliver the dividends of democracy and are set to free Adamawa State out of backwardness of any type.
