Parents solicit for the rehabilitation of burnt down sch in Adamawa

Parents and Guardian of Government Girls secondary school Mayo Belwa local Government area have called on Adamawa state Government to as matter of urgency come to their aid by renovating a burndown block of Hostel in the school.

Public relation officer of Parent Teachers Association of the school Mallam Babayola Umaru made the call in an interview with journalists in Mayo Belwa.

He said the fire has ravaged the entire Block A of the hostel, adding nothing has been remove from the Block which consists of three hundred beds.

The PRO added that the incident forced the school authority to send affected students back home pending the renovation of the hostel a situation he described as set back in their academic activities.

Mallam Babayola Pleaded with Government through ministry of education to hasten and renovate the hostel to enable students of the school continue their studies.

When contacted the Principal of the school Mrs Naina Zari told ABC Yola that the management of the school have organized a comprehensive report on the fire inferno which they will submit to ministry of education for urgent assistance.

She called on parents and Guardian to exercise patience as the school is putting measures to overcome the challenges.

Asserting that she has the believe the able leadership of Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo will response speedily to their yearnings as the education sector has since been declared into a state of emergency.

It could be recall that it was on Thursday morning the fire which was attributed to electrical fault gutted the hostel of the school when students were in the class recieving lessons.
