I write to laud and applaud the firm decision of the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Madagali local government, for suspending some party officials and stakeholder alike.
This to me, is best described as a stitch in time, which certainly saves nine. The menace of anti-party activity, where some bigwigs within the party, who feedfat on some juicy opportunities of the Party, undermines it through it’s connivance with the rulling party in the State, the PDP.
This has been the case, since the wake of 2019 general elections. I have observed this times without number but my voice was not heard. If this ungrateful elements were send parking since then, we would have saved ourselves some degree of harm and injury they caused us.
While I believe this is the fate that awaited us long ago, it is a shame that People in the 21st century sacrifices governance at the alter of ethnicity. It further demonstrate how lowly and primitive our mindset could be.
The suspension affected the local government vice chairman Markus Njidda, mr James Ijai stakeholder Kirchinga ward, Alh Abdullahi Duda stakeholder madagali ward, Hon Titus Ndzau stakeholder Wula ward.
Also in the suspension list includes, Umaru Idrisa ward Chairman SS vapura, local youths leader Emmanuel munu, local government org. Sec. Alhaji Ali Bako, exco Gulak ward, chasawa Hassan.
Others are Elisha buram Pallam ward, Muhammad markus Gulak ward, Luka Dacha SS vapura ward & kwayi Ijaduwa ss vapura ward respectively.
While I applaud the decision of the Party, no matter how late it is, I want to call on its leadership both at Local government and State level to keep an eagle eye on the up coming exercise, as there are planned antics to plant some bad eggs within the Party structure, with the aim of undermining the supremacy and the onerous front of the Party, particularly at the local government level.
It behoves on us all, to be more mindful of who calls the shots, lest we get hooked in the middle, with no clear road map to follow.
