Assistant Director, Support Group Coordination, North East of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) said the North East National Vice Chairman of the Party, Comrade Mustapha Salihu has goofed to have stooped low in granting an interview attacking Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani).
Mr. Sylvester said the open rebuke by Salihu attacking Binani for dragging former Governor Murtala Nyako into her political failures is not supposed to come from the National Vice Chairman North East.
According to him, the statement is not right and Comrade Mustapha Salihu should not have granted such an interview or voiced such an opinion because he is the North East Zonal Vice Chairman.
Accused Salihu of compromising the functions and the duties of his office which the onus lays on him to remain neutral.
He said by that statement, that Salihu ought to resign if there are still traces of decency in him.
“With that opinion, he has compromised his position and if he has any decency, he should resign.
“If I may ask, what will be his stance when Senator Binani is confirmed as the Gubernatorial candidate of Adamawa State?
“By that statement, he has confirmed stories been bandied around that some people are against the emergence of the Senator as a candidate,” Sylvester said
