PDP Candidate engages Adamawa Youths group ahead of July LGA elections

Yola, Adamawa State – The Yola North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate, Barrister Jibrin Ibrahim Jimeta, has reaffirmed his commitment to achieving a vision for Yola North that all residents will take pride in. He made this declaration during an interactive session with journalists in Yola.

This engagement underscores the increasing efforts by political leaders to connect with younger constituents, who possess significant influence in determining electoral outcomes in the upcoming local government elections. Barrister Jibrin’s approach involved encouraging youth to critically assess leadership and the candidates’ plans for transforming the Yola North Local Government.

The candidate emphasized the importance of youth development and unity within the local government. He highlighted the necessity of raising awareness among the youth about their role in governance and development.

Youth groups in Yola North have pledged to maintain ongoing interactive and one-on-one sessions with Barrister Jibrin, fostering continuous dialogue and engagement.

During the session, Barrister Jibrin also expressed his gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his proactive measures in ensuring the completion of state projects, describing the current pace of construction as unprecedented. He urged the youth and community members to protect government assets and avoid any actions that could incite violence or unrest.

The local government election is approaching at a time when security remains a significant concern in several areas of Adamawa State.
