The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Primaries results conducted for Adamawa Central District was announced by Steven Doma, the election returning officer in Yola.
At the venue of the election, he returned Rt Honourable Aminu Iya Abbas, Adamawa State House of Assembly speaker as the overall winner.

Out of 235 total delegates (including national), Abbas polled 125 Votes while
Honorable Auwal D. Tukur rounded up with 54 Votes.
Other contestants are Barrister D. D. Azura (1 Vote) Hon. Daniel Bwala (4 Votes) Alhaji Chubado Murtala Modibbo (13 Votes) Hon. Abubakar Ibrahim Gwal (3 Votes) Hon. Mustapha Ibrahim Baba 10 (32 Votes)
However, Mr. Daniel Bwala said he received the outcome of the result as a good fate and congratulated the winner of the election.
He told Tgnews.com.ng that he remains a committed member of the PDP family and will work, and support the winner (Iya) to make sure he wins in the general election.
Iya has earlier called on all the other contestants to consider the victory as a collective one to team up together to bring development to the state.
While thanking them for being gladiators to sportsmanship, he showered encomiums of thanks to his supporters and critical stakeholders who stood by him to win.
