Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth Says as Speaker Aminu Iya Abbas Inaugurates the House Standing Committee on Interpaliamentary Affairs, Special Duties and IDP’s Under the Chairmanship of Honourable Abubakar Isa of Shelleng Constituency Monday.
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State Chief Crowther Seth has reiterated Government’s commitment towards improving the lives of the the internally Displaced Persons in the State.
He also said a harmonious working relationship between the executive and the legislature will help in laying a foundation for good governance in the state
Chief Crowther Seth made the disclosure at the Adamawa State House of Assembly during the inauguration of the Chairman House Standing committee on Inter parliamentary affairs, special duties and IDPs Alhaji Abubakar Isa Shelleng and other Members of the committee.
The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt Hon Aminu Iya Abass while inaugurating the Committee charged the Chairman to use his wealth of experience and work with other members to live up to expectations as the Committee is expected to breach the gap between the executive and other arms of government.
He said there are enormous expectations and the Committee Chairman and members were carefully selected.
The Speaker further highlighted the Assembly’s readiness to partner with the executive so as to confront the major challenges facing the state.
In his Inaugural speech, the Chairman of the Committee on Interpaliamentary Affairs, Special Duties and Internally Displaced Persons who is also the member representing Shelleng constituency Hon. Abubakar Isa Shelleng said the Committee members will not perform below expectations.
Abubakar Isa who is also the Marafan Shelleng said he will live up to the level of confidence reposed on them.
The Inaugration ceremony was attended by all relevant stakeholders under the committee from the State Government, Leadership of local councils from various local governments and NON Governmental Organization related to the Committee
