A significant stride has been taken towards improving education in Adamawa State, with the commissioning of two blocks of three classrooms each at Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Gunda and one block of six classrooms at Government Secondary School (GSS) Guyuk.

Furnished Classrooms built in Guyuk LGA 

This initiative marks a transformative moment for students and educators in Guyuk Local Government Area (LGA). The commissioning ceremony, held on January 24, 2025, was attended by His Royal Highness, Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, the paramount ruler of the area. The new classroom blocks were built and furnished through the efforts of Hon. Kobis Ari Thimnu, the member representing Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

The newly commissioned structures are fully equipped to create a conducive learning environment, with each classroom featuring complete sets of desks for students, office desks for teachers, and other essential academic items. Hon. Thimnu also distributed educational materials, including customized exercise books, pens, and complete school uniforms, to enhance academic development.

HRH Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II commended Hon. Thimnu’s commitment to education, noting that the initiative would have a lasting impact on the lives of students and the community. Hon. Thimnu reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the educational needs of his constituency, highlighting the importance of quality education as a tool for empowerment.

This development signifies a major step forward for education in Guyuk LGA, providing students with better learning conditions and furthering educational equity in Adamawa State.
