Over 300 Nigerians on a Holy Pilgrimage trip to the countries of Jordan and Israel have peacefully arrived Amman, the capital of Jordan to pray for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
The Pilgrims who are from the states of Ebonyi, Cross River, and Ondo were charged to pray for a great awakening in Nigerians for the spirit of patriotism, and unity and to have Nigeria in the community of great nations.
While giving his farewell message in Uyo, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christians Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev Pam Yakubu called on them to pray for the nation with a warning to remain good citizens of the country by not absconding.
The emphasis was made on all pilgrims by the Executive Secretary to pray to their respective states, the country, and all leaders in place of authority.
The Speaker of Cross River state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Jonna Williams on his arrival in Jordan said his state is on a prayer retreat mission for the people of Nigeria and any cross Riverian as the 2023 General Elections are approaching.
Speaker Williams said Nigeria needs God’s special intervention in the coming 2023 General election to give the people His desired wish of a president, and leaders at all levels that will change the country’s course of history.
He however said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, by human standards will certainly win the Presidential election.
He based his reason that APC remains the only party that has 23 seating Governors and is united to win.
Williams said his prayers for NNigeriansare to conduct a peaceful election and remain united as God will not turn down his prayers for APC to win.
While calling on Nigerians on the pilgrimage spiritual exercise in Jordan and Israel to be good Ambassadors, he enjoined them to pray fervently for the country to remain one, and have a robust economy after the 2023 elections.
