According to multiple sources, Lubo’s death was confirmed by a condolence statement signed by the Archdiocesan Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Jos, Daniel Gyang. The statement expressed condolences to Lubo’s immediate family, CAN Plateau State Chapter, and the religious community.

Rev. Fr. Lubo was known for his leadership and commitment to promoting peace and unity in Plateau State. He had previously led protests in Jos over persistent killings of indigenous residents by suspected Fulani herdsmen, calling for urgent intervention and lasting security measures.

The Archbishop of Jos has extended condolences to the bereaved family, CAN Plateau State Chapter, and the faithful of the Archdiocese, praying that Lubo’s soul rests in peace. May his legacy live on, and may God comfort those who mourn his loss.
