Police arrest 2 kidnappers from Zamfara, 3 from Maiha LGA ,rescue 3,neutralize 1 after gunshots in Adamawa

PRESS RELEASE

On the 19/12/2021 the Command’s operatives attached to Maiha Division, following information from a reliable source reveals, that some suspected kidnappers were sighted on Pakka Hills situated in a remote side of Maiha local government,

The Commissioner of police *CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, Psc (+),* immediately deployed the Command’s operatives attached to Maiha Division in sustained collaboration with military, other sister security agencies and some Hunters to the area, as a result…

These suspects….

1. Muhammed Umaru 37years a resident of Pakka Village, Maiha local government.

2. Hamidu Idrisu 30years a resident of Macimi village, Maiha local government

3. Haruna Musa 42years, a resident of Macimi village, Maiha local government.

Were arrested after returned of gunshots that neutralized one of the kidnappers.

The joint operation led to the rescued of 3 victims…
1. Hadiza Abubakar a 35year old woman resident of Kuna village, Maiha local government.

2. Hamidu Musa 20years old a resident of Pella village, Hong local government.

3. Buba Sale 18years a resident of Pella village, Hong local government.

The Suspects while interrogation confessed to have kidnapped the victims from their various addresses and were negotiating for ransom.

Similarly, on the 16/12/2021 the command’s operatives attached to Gombi Division while on stop and search operation acted upon credible information received about the movement of suspected kidnappers and luckily apprehended *Iliyasu Bako 26years and Rabiu Habu 25years* all residents of Zurmi local government Area, Zamfara State. They freely confessed to have kidnapped one Babagida Alh Ruwa of Garfete village, Gombi local government.

On the strength of that , the *Commissioner of Police* , commended the Divisional police officers *Maiha* , *Gombi* and there men for making it difficult for such criminals escape arrest .

The *CP* further calls on members of the public to continue giving credible and timely information regarding any person of suspicious character around their neighborhood to police.

The police *Boss* further directs discreet investigation into the matter and assured that the suspects will be prosecuted accordingly.
