Police arrest Mother, 18 for using hot Iron to torture 5-yr step Daughter in Adamawa

…CP directs for thorough and clinical investigation

The Adamawa State police command have arrested eighteen year old female suspect, Aisha Muhammed for torturing and maltreating her 5year old step daughter.

The suspect who is a resident of Wuro Patuji village, Mubi South Local government area took advantage of the baby following the divorced of her Mother that brought her under the care and custody of her step mother.

A statement by the police Command and signed by its Image maker, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje said Investigation revealed the Suspect being the second wife to the Victim’s father committed the offence by using hot iron, tortured and inflicted injury on the private part of the baby that she discharged urine on her bed.

“The wicked step Mother was arrested by the Police in Mubi South local government following report received from Aisha Abdullahi (mother of the victim ) and Barrister Khadija Nasir a female Lawyer.

“The Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, psc while commending FIDA and police for exposing and making it impossible for criminal of such to escape justice , directs discreet investigations be conducted as the Victim is under medical attention.

“Meanwhile, as part of efforts at tackling Criminal activities and other related offences in the state, the CP , deployed officers of the family unit/Human right section to go after anyone committing such heinous crimes and apprehend them. He equally calls on people to always report people of suspicious character around their neighborhoods to police.” The statement read
