Police arrests 42 yrs old Man who raped,impregnates 17 yrs old daughter In Adamawa

The Adamawa state police command has achieved another milestone in its campaign against rape and Sexual Violence against Women and children.

The command had on Wednesday again arrested a 42 year old man, Matthew Joseph for raping and impregnating his 17 years old daughter.

This was contained a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje and made available to newsmen.

Joseph, a resident of Yola south LGA is reported to having frequent sexual intercourse with his daughter since he divorced her mother sometime in 2019 .

“The Suspect took advantage of the Daughter ( victim) after he divorced her Mother for over a year and has been having sexual intercourse with her until she got pregnant.

“Investigation so far reveals that the Victim is three months pregnant and is now undergoing Medical screenings, ” the statement reads.

Nassarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule has appointed Channel Television’s Ibrahim Addra as his Chief Press Secretary.

Governor Sule in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Barrsister Mahmud Ubandoma Aliyu said appointment is takes effect from the 1st July, 2020.

Until his appointment, Addra was a correspondent with Channels television.
