Police CP in Adamawa tours state for community engagement to prevent crime

The Commissioner of police (CP), Aliyu Adamu Alhaji,psc of Adamawa command has toured the local governments of Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha in the Northern Senatorial zone and Gombi, Song Local Government areas of the central Senatorial District and interacts with Council Chairmen,Community and Religious leaders, Market leaders , Senior Stakeholders holders , Vigilantes/Professional Hunters among others on the need to key into Community policing and sustain the already existing peace.

CP Aliyu enjoined to eschew utterances utterances that could be inimical to peace of the areas.

Similarly, the CP Aliyu has charged all Police Officers and other law enforcement agents to act in accordance with the Standard Operational Rules (SOR) of the force and other extant laws guiding their overall conduct . He warns that any police Officer found acting contrary to their oaths of office or behaving in a way and manner prejudicial to discipline will be strictly and personally held liable .

The Gombi/Song Council Chairmen Hon. Dimas Shekel and Hon. Gidado Abdulsalam in their separate remarks commended the CP for his laudable initiatives in engaging locals into Policing

The District Heads of Gombi and Song *Alhaji Usman S Fada and Alhaji Ahmadu Saidu** keyed into the *CP’s* initiative to preventing all forms of conflict, equally thanked the Commissioner of police for the laudable initiative.

DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje who is the command public relations officer in a press release signed that the Commissioner of police was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of Operations and many other Senior officers.
