Tragedy struck in Abuja’s Wuse Market as a protest by members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, turned deadly. A trader, identified as Amiru, was fatally shot in the chest while fleeing the scene, and two police officers lost their lives in the clash.
According to eyewitnesses, the violence erupted when police pursued the protesters near Chateau De La-Rey in Wuse Zone 6.
