Nigerian Police fired teargas at protesters in Abuja who gathered at the Utako market area to demonstrate against the country’s economic hardships, including rising fuel prices, food costs, and inflation.
The #FearlessInOctober protest, organized by civil society organizations under the #EndBadGovernance movement, coincided with Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.
