The Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has tasked Christians in the state to continue in the spirit of prayer and exhibit sacrifice and selflessness as learned from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In an Easter message signed by his special Assistant on Press and Media Affairs, Martins Dickson, Bindow says the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ should be an example for all Christians in the state to make sacrifices, be selfless and work for the growth and development of the state.
“I thank you all for your prayers during the over 3 years of my administration and I enjoin you to continue in prayers for a peaceful, United and prosperous Adamawa and in the spirit of Easter continue to make sacrifices for a greater Adamawa State”.
It is only in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and unity that the state can achieve its desired dreams of becoming one of the greatest states In the country.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has offered you an opportunity to draw closer to God and you must not take these lightly, therefore as you celebrate, ensure that the spiritual values of Easter is upheld and that passionate prayers is offered for the peace and growth of our dear state.
Bindow thanked the Christian community for their prayers which has contributed in the achievement of massive infrastructural development of his administration as well as the solid foundation laid for Agricultural revolution in the state among other things.
No leadership succeeds without prayers, Adamawa State needs prayers and as one who believes in prayers I call on all Christians in the state to continue to pray for the state and its leaders beyond the Easter celebrations.
Your prayers aided my administration to make immense contributions to the growth and development of the state and the rain of infrastructural growth and development must not be truncated.
Bindow also calls for tolerance, peace and for a secured Adamawa state.
